Missouri River Relief hosted a very special summer camp for students aged 14-18 this week. Called Meet the "Big Muddy" - Missouri River Academy - part of the "Summers @ Mizzou" summer camp hosted by MU Extension and the 4-H Center for Youth Development. It was an amazing week of events and activities and the City, County and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service were proud to be a part of the summer camp.

Camper's from Meet the "Big Muddy" toured the City of Columbia’s Stormwater BMP site at the city owned Grissum Building (part of the 319 Grant from the EPA) and the 3M Wetlands. The tours were lead by city, county staff members and Chris Woodson from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

Camper's learned how the City, County and MU are working together and with other agencies to improve stormwater quality and protect our local creeks and streams here in Columbia, MO.
